New custom decks planned for the home, site and use: composite (TimberTech, Trex, Eva-Last, Fiberon, Deckorators), redwood, or hardwood such as Ipe, Cumaru or Batu. Elevated, hillside and multi-level sites are our specialty conditions.
Demolition and full rebuild of an existing deck: framing, decking, stairs and railings defined in the written scope.

Mikhail “Mike” Sankin founded MS Construction and Services after relocating from Russia, where he previously operated a construction business. He holds an engineering degree, and that background shaped a technical, detail-oriented approach to scope, materials, sequencing and project coordination. The company was established in California in May 2023; the current California deck contractor license is registered under MS Decking and Services.
The field team is built in the same mold: experienced craftsmen who can read a structure, think through a non-standard site and lead the work without hand-holding. Plenty of crews can follow a plan. Ours can lead one. Mike coordinates project review, pricing, procurement, deliveries, logistics and key decisions, and the project is never sold or handed off to an unrelated deck company. The goal is not maximum project volume. It is reliable service, careful execution and a finished result that holds up in the details.

Yes, a project starts with a deposit — but it’s tied to a defined stage and written into your proposal, never an open-ended advance. Every payment follows that schedule, and the proposal is itemized, so you always see what you’re paying for.
Yes. That’s our specialty. A large share of our projects are elevated, hillside or multi-level decks, and difficult access doesn’t scare us.
Yes. When a project requires a permit, we manage the permit process for our clients: paperwork, coordination and inspections. Permit coordination is defined in the written scope, and permit fees are itemized.
No. Earlier in the company’s development we completed a broader range of exterior projects, including fences and gates. Older reviews describing that work are genuine, but those services are no longer offered. The focus today is decks and closely related outdoor structures.
